Ducati Superleggera V4 number one has been delivered to a lucky Ducati customer. Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali personally handed the bike over, at Ducati headquarters in Borgo Panigale.

With its carbon fibre frame, wheels, swingarm and Moto GP-Esq wings, the Superleggera is limited to just 500, £90,000 units.

Bike number 001 has been delivered to Belgian Ducati collector Filip Van Schil. His latest purchase adds to his collection of 9 other Ducati models. Ducati invited Filip to the factory for a tour of the production lines, meeting the skilled engine builder who crafted the heart of his V4 Superleggera.

In addition to the tour, Filip will try the Panigale V4R World Superbike around the infamous Mugello track.
“When I received the call and the official invitation to come to Borgo Panigale to collect my Superleggera V4, the number 001 of 500, although I have always been a Ducatista, my legs trembled with emotion,” said Filip Van Schil. “A welcome like this, even though I was the first to call and order the bike, is something unimaginable. Receiving it directly in the company and touching the passion of the people who work in Borgo Panigale is an experience that I will always remember. The ultimate bike handover!
This unique package was handed over by Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali. Claudio has been riding the Superleggera on track, putting it through its paces.
